In this modern life, we face technology at every moment and now we cannot live without technology. This technology, now, is making new trend such as Ipod and a part of culture which people who use that technology live in. This relationship between man and technology goes back to when people begun to use stones and fire. At that time, the reliance of people on tools wasn’t like these days.
I, as living in nowadays, depend on technology much. It starts from when I wake up to when I go to bad. For example, the alarm clock on my desk wakes me up in the morning. Then I drink milk including Ca in a fridge and microwave food. After then I leave house with Mp3 player and take CTA train. In the classes, I use computer, copying machine, elevators and vending machines. After school, I like to watch TV programs and talk to my parents on the phone.
Most of them around me are necessary. However some are luxuries. For example, electric shaving machine is convenient, but I can use a razor instead of machine. Some of technology is really useful and necessary, and some are just luxuries.
In the future, I can draw a picture that people can control everything by thinking about them. The technology which can read people’s mind will be developed and people might don’t need to use their remote control. Also, devises will be smaller and compacted.
Now we can’t think our lives without technology. We can’t go work and can’t have food, medicine, house and electricity. Life may go back to the Stone Ages. I really take advantage of technology well, and the necessity of technology is too important for words.

Technology is very important for us in this society. Very day, we have to use
a lot of technology. Very day I watch TV, listen to music, use the internet and
print my homework. I think the computer is necessary for me, because I have
to do my homework, I can read some news on the internet, and I can also
listen to the music online. For me, something like Ipod music players and
some game players are just luxuries. If there aren't any technology in my life, I
would be very bored, and I can't know the events in the world, I can get a good
grade because I can't print out my homework. There are many kinds of new
technology in the world, and I think the medical technology will be developed
next, because human need it the most. Technology is a benefit in my life.
When I need to need to know some information, I can search on the internet.
That is very easy and fast. Technology and popular culture are connecting
with each other. Because every in our life, needs to use technology. For
example, to rebuild the World trade center in New York, we need a lot of
technology. If acrtist want to be famous, they have to use technology.

I am dependent on technology very much. If I live without technology, it would like fish live without water. Consequently, I use technology everyday. Personal computer and portable music player are used daily in my life. PC is absolutely necessary to me. I often use it to access Blackboard and download my homework assignments. Then I do my assignments on my computer, and print them out with printer. Furthermore, I often use computer to check email and search information and reference on Internet. Computer is necessary to me, but portable music player isn’t essential to me. I used to listen to music with the portable music player when I was on bus or train. When I heard headphones can damage people’s hearing, I stopped listening music with it. Now, I put my portable music player somewhere in my bedroom and never use it. It becomes inessential and luxury to me. Generally, some technology is inessential to us, but some technology is absolutely necessary to us, we can’t live without it. For example, if my computer is removed, I can’t do my homework assignments and can’t check email. Furthermore, I can’t get the up-to-date information because I often watch news on Chicago Tribune’s website; consequently, I will get lost in the digital century if I don’t have computer. In addition, I will be out-of-date because Internet mirrors and influences popular culture. Overall, technology is a benefit in my life.

Can we live without technology in today’s world? I think that is impossible. Our lives are connected to technology more than we thought, there are many things that make are lives easier and faster. For example the computer allows us to communicate with people all around the world, and that apply specially for me because my family live in another country, and I use the computer to communicate not just with my family, but with my friends. I used technology a lot every single day, and I can say that my life is so involved with technology, since I wake up I am using technology, such us the alarm clock, my CD player, light, and many other things. It is so amazing how much are lives have changed in the last years, technology has improved are lives a lot, making are world more comfortable.
We do not need a lot of the things that technology gives us, and in most of the cases technology become a luxury for us, something that we want to have just because it is getting popularity, such as IPods and other devices. But in some cases technology is necessary and really useful in our lives, the best example for this is education, in today’s education world technology especially computers are necessary to accomplish and success in college.
There are many devices, which I cannot live without them, such as phone, CD player, TV, and transportation. Since I came to this country I started to use technology more than ever in my life, I had always tried to be away from technology just because I did not consider it necessary, but my family is far away and through technology I can be connected with them all the time, I can know what it is going on in my country and talk to my friends a lot. That is how I found technology really helpful and important in my life.
Technology is one of the things that have connection with popular culture, connection that I found really deep. Technology is all around us and we can find it in every single thing. We use technology to make movies, to listen to music, to fly, to communicate, to create things, and to make cloth. As you can see we find it in all of the icons of popular culture, through technology

we make possible popular culture, technology help popular culture to success and pass generation to generation having access to it no matter how much time has passed.
Technology in some ways controls our lives and it is our job to become aware of that, and start to give to technology the use that we are suppose to give it, with knowledge and not just for luxury.

Today, most people are so dependent on technology, of course I am not a exception. I use a cell phone, an iPod, a television, a stove, a car, a train, a laptop, a lamp, a microwave, a refrigerator, and others that I cannot think now everyday. I think a cell phone, a lamp and a train are necessaries and others are just luxuries to make me live more easily. If I don’t have those items that I se everyday, then my life would be hard and bored. A car helps me to go anywhere that I need and want to go, a microwave and a refrigerator make food’s taste good and other items make my life not to be bored.
I think I am living in the century that all technology is developed. I don’t think there is more ideas to develop or make new technology. It is just getting easier to use and a nice looking from a original technology, but something very new stuff that we never use before. The technology makes my life very comfortable and happy. For example, I love to listen music and iPod helps me to do that at anywhere at anytime. Technology is connected to popular culture in many ways. I always read and watch news online, I can shop for clothing online, and I can even buy groceries online now.

It’s hard to imagine our life without technology in these days. Everything around us connected with technology. It’s like the air that we take grant for its existence. It’s same in my life. I think that I can’t survive without technology. For example, I make my music with computer, not with real instruments. All the things that I use when I make music are technology. Then let’s count out all technologies in a day that I use. When I wake up, I drink water in the fridge. And I take a shower with running heated water, I check e-mail, take a bus… It’s even hard to list because all of my life connected with technology. It might be easier to list not connected with technology. However, we all know that all the things aren’t necessary in our life. For example, a dish washer is so luxury in my life. Just use your hands lazy women! It might be necessary to others, but not to me. It’s complicate to judge which technology is necessary or not because it depends on the situation the people live. For me, MP3 player is necessary even if many people don’t agree with. Without music, I can live, but I don’t want to live without music. So it’s necessary in my life. One day, I read a book about simple life by David Thorou, which was about he built his house without any technology by himself. His belief was “Simple life”. That means, we all can live without technology, but after using them, we became lazy and didn’t want to lose them because of its conveniences. So he gave up all of his life, went to the mountain and lived in his house which he made by himself. I totally agree with that. We all can live without them in at point that all of technologies are disappeared. It will be big changes; no newspaper, no TV and no cars. It can be fun in my opinion. It means that my life will be little more annoying. But our lives are going to be healthy and safe. We even don’t know about our neighbors. Our life is too desolated. It’s all because of the technology. With it, my life is more convenient, but there are also many problems. Anyway, technology is changing every day. If I buy a brand new laptop now, it also means my new computer is out of date. Day by day, it’s getting developed. That’s the reason that pop culture and technology are connected. People have feeling that they don’t want to be left behind. If there come new I-pod, everyone interest in that. It’s connected with fashion and trend. The desire of people that don’t want to be left behind link pop culture with technology.

REFLECTION 5 : TECHNOLOGY

It’s was one year ago when I just arrived U.S, every time I take a train go to HWC for my ESL classes and I always saw some people in the train with the Ipod.. Then I started to think whether I should buy one Ipod like them or not by my curiousness. So, now I know how is the interesting of Ipod because I have one.
In some way, I can say: in my daily life there are some technologies that I depend on and also need them a lot such as my alarm clock, cell phone, computer, Internet, microwave, rice cooker and television. I do not have enough courage to imagine how is difficult and for one day if do not have or lost those kind of that technologies. As I feel that technology; they are one of the parts of my daily life. Example, alarm clock helps me to be on time everyday for school, the cell phone helps me for some emergency cases that need to be informed, Internet helps me for homework, and microwave makes my stomach happy.
I know that if without those kind of that technology; I can still survive and still live. But my daily life could be more a bit difficult and uncomfortable in the way that they are. Such as I still have to go to school on time everyday even without the alarm clock; but it would be difficult for me to wake up without the alarm clock. For some high and luxury technology like plasma TV, digital 3D game, digital camera…most of people love and wish to have that as their value and high quality technology would make our needs up grade to better quality and more comfortable with good enjoyment; if I have much more money then I love to buy and have that. I think the technological telecom will be developed a lot more next and in future. Every technology has its own advantage or disadvantage or its own good benefit or bad value; just if human can know how to use or and take a good advantage of technology that absolutely help and make our human life better and more comfortable.
In addition, the technology also connects and influences not only to our daily life
but also a lot to pop culture such as the I pod’s trend spread out from nation U.S to all over the world by young generation’s mode, or Sony PlayStaion Game I/II /III make over
and over people from kids till adult attracted and crazy by some games are based on some true famous Icon Pop Culture as super stars, singers or pop events…etc.

Reflection 5: Technology

I have to live with technology because I think now almost everything became to

be technology and we used to use it every day. It will be necessary if we used to use it

daily. Light is the most necessary for me. I am scary dark and light can be help me do

many things, homework, read a book etc. The luxury think that I use every day is MP3

Player. It is not necessary but it can help me happy in anyway. If it go away, I will be

boring when I wait someone or do sit on the train and only watch the people in the train.

The technology will be develop soon should be the airplane. I think now the world is

smaller and everyone attend to travel more. Will be good if every house has the airplane

in the garage. I think I will happy that I can go to everywhere that I want. Technology has

benefit so much, help me do many think such as chat with my family in Thailand. Post

the pictures for my friends, type the home works. It can be help to do many things easier

but can make me lazy and upset easier too when it is not work. Technology is one of the

mirror to know the how is the people interesting. Technology must make to support the

need of almost the people in the society.

Through history the world has been changing and the technology with it. Every day a new machine or a renew version of another machine is making and came out. It is really amazing for me to see the technologic advances in the moment. Technology makes part of our life and it is present in each area of the society, education with new and modern equipment that make easier the teaching process, medicine with the modern advances that are helpful to us in order to keep us safe, construction in the amazing buildings around us the technology was present in the process of creation, entertainment it is present even in the movies area, and sports with the help even the new clothe, those are some aspects of the entire list of areas where technology is present. The fact is that every day and every moment, we make use of the technology as I do. Since I get up I am making use of the technology thanks to the alarm clock, I turn on the TV and the computer, I take my I pod and go to take the bus to school in all my day technology is present. It was supposed that the technology was made to help us and that we have the control under the technology, but now we are slaves of technology and it controls our life.

When my father told me about his mother used a charcoal iron, I didn’t believe that. It is fun think those in older days was very simple used many things without electricity. However, I know the technology is very important for all. I really depend on technology to do many things like a call to cellular phone or my computer in my job and my homework. To me, the technological advances are incredible. For example, I remember when I used the cassette to listen to music, the CD player after and I have an I pod. Of course, it is one of cheaper because there are many kinds of I Pod. I think some types of technology are just luxuries. My friend invited me to watch the movie in her house. She has big equipment of technology is call “theatre”. It is amazing, but I think is unnecessary because Television is enough. On the other hand, I think that everything is evolution so it is evident that the devices technological every day can surprise us and a robot is probable that share the life with us. Finally, I think technology make my life more easy and the people use it in many ways like fit in cyberspace or to use the chat to communicate with other people. To be part of the world the technology.

I’m very dependent on technology and I think I can’t live with out the technology! The types of technology I use daily are: cell phone, computer, tv, ipod, train, light, heater and lots of others. Absolutely necessary are: my cell phone, computer, train, light, heater, tv and luxuries I believe are: ipod. I can’t live with out my cell phone its very important to me. And the computer I use it to make my homework so I can’t imagine my self running every day in the college to use a computer. My whole life will change without the technology and not to a better life but to a difficult life! I can imagine that after some years they will start to make a cooker that you put the material and then they come to the other side and the food is ready without do anything. And the science movies with the cars that they can fly, I believe one day they will start to make flight cars. Crazy things. I believe technology is a benefit to my life. No one can live with out a tv and the same for me, because it’s nice to lie down, relax and laugh with the funny realities! And general technology makes our lives easier, I don’t think that technology is a burden, but maybe after some years it will be burden when the technology is going to move faster and it will be more expensive. The technology connected to the pop culture because for example the ipod is a luxury but some people may buy an ipod because the half U.S have an ipod. So sometimes you buy something because is famous and all the people have it so you should have it too! And the same, is for the other kinds of technology. So technology is also connected to the pop culture.

Most people are dependent on technology. There are many things to useful on technology such as, communication, a household electric appliance, transportation, or industries. We always get helping from technology. Individually, I also get helping from technology. Among of many things, I always bring my cell phone. I have been using for 6 years. When I was middle school student, I did not have cell phone. That time, I could live no problem without cell phone. The present time, I am convenient without cell phone. I think that technology is made for humans’ convenience. For example, ancient time, people lived without car, cell phone, television, or elevators. In my opinion, transportation is necessary on our lives. We can do many things by transportation such as some people go to work by riding train, bus, taxi, subway. On the other hand, PMP or MP3 player is just luxuries. Somebody told me “IPod is a fashion”. I also use many things on technology. I bring cell phone every day, but it can be sometimes burden. Sometimes people do not want to others meddle with other things. Cell phone always delivers new notice. I think technology helps culture’s development.

Technology is one of the parts of human life. It is developing very quick and always up dated. Last century was technology century. I am dependent on technology, and I use it every day. I cannot live without technology in 21st century. Every day I use cell phone, TV, CD player, alarm clock, refrigerator, microwave, flatiron, hairdryer, and computer. The most of them are absolutely necessary for me. For instance, cell phone, computer, and refrigerator are necessary for me. Because if I don’t have cell phone or computer, I couldn’t communicate with my family everyday and if I don’t have refrigerator, I couldn’t keep my food. In addition, we don’t watch TV and don’t listen to radio, don’t use computer, so I will retard from society. Except all of necessary technologies other technologies are including luxuries.
Nowadays, if the technology I depend on was removed, my life would be difficult because technology is simplified people’s life. It means I’m going back one step in my life. Also it loses time and money. I think that computer, cell phone, and iPod’s new devices will develop in the next. The technology gives a lot of benefit in my life, such as facilitate my job, save time, and inform a lot of information. On the other hand, luxuries technology develops very quickly, and every time renovated. It means people’s expense will be increase.
In my opinion, mostly luxuries technologies are being part of popular culture. So new devices are released, these changed. For example, iPod is absolutely one of the popular culture. It always changed and is creating new devices. First iPod, next iPhone, iPod nano, then iPod touch etc.

There is not doubt that we can’t live without the technology as the development of world. We use the technology every day, such as microware, heater, computer, television, telephone, car, light and so on. They are convenient to our life. The alarm wakes me up. Microware helps me to warm the food. Computer saves my file. Printer prints my homework. Bus and car carry me here and there. Telephone helps me to keep in touch with my family and friends. The heater keeps me warm at every where. In my opinion, microware and television are just luxuries, you can cook instead of using microware, you can surf Internet instead of television. The heater is very important for me, because I am very afraid of cold; computer and printer are also necessary for me to finish my homework; I can’t go anywhere without the bus or car. I think car and computer will be the new technological devices, maybe, car can fly, and computer robot can help you do many things in the future.
I think, most of the technology are invented depend on the popular culture. Most of the technology is invented because of daily necessities. It is the trend of the popular culture. In a word, the technology is convenient to our life. It will develop in a high speed with the trend of the popular culture.

I am very dependent about using technology in my daily life. Most of time, I use necessity technology. For me refrigerator, oven, light, and transport are absolutely necessary. It is hard to live with out them. On the other hand, there are a lot of luxuries the one I can live with out them. For example, TV, cell phone, computer…etc. Even though there is necessary and luxuries technology, it could help me to change my life. I could understand more about my course by using the computer; I could use the transports and move where ever I want. Also I could communicate with people by using cell phone. I think the new technology comes next is car the one it works an electricity and automatic train no body can’t ride it just it goes by itself. I think technology is a benefit for me because I could work and get money by getting information from the computer and by using transport to go or apply the job. Technology reflects our popular culture, and we use and share it. Personal technology is wider range of people. For example, computer, TV, cell phone, radio, camera, internet, iPod, calculator, and microwave make us convenient lives. First, cell phone is a wonderful device, and it makes my life much easier. My cell phone is small device like a mall wallet, so it’s very easy to be carried. Then I can keep calling with my mother. I am in Chicago, and my mother is in Shanghai, China. We can keep relating when I am outside or at home with cell phone any time. In addition, I can call out and receive calls from my family, friends, teachers, and classmates anywhere. I put their phone numbers in my cell phone’s address book to keep in touch with them. I can easily call and receive the messages when I am anywhere. Second, TV is very popular, and I can’t live without it. I watch Chicago Weather on TV every morning, so I know what I should wear for going out. At night, I watch news, AD, and movies. I can acquire some new insight and knowledge. Third, the internet is very useful. It has enabled people to browse through millions of documents, websites, books, and computer programs, and keep up with the news, spots, and weather reports. I often do my homework, look for some information, go shopping, and pay bill on the internet. It is very easy. Therefore, technology have a great influence on the way people live.

Technology is really important in my life. Because as I am student I use technology everyday for my school. Now in time for students luxuries not luxury anymore its what we need in our life and school. I use computer everyday to go to blackboard page to do my homework’s. Teacher gives to the student assignments to record something then we need recorded and if we write an essay then we need printer to print it out. When i come to school I ride CTA train everyday. I need technology to see what time it is so i don’t have to late for anything, and I use ipod everyday when I’m riding a train, because its really long hour to come to school. Computer, train, watches and ipod are necessary for me and for luxuries are cell phone, car, and laundry. It will be really difficult for me if computer and train aren’t exist in the world. But I will figure out something because if we don’t have those then teachers will give us different types of homework. To me computer will control over the earth, because it’s so powerful and if u need to shop or order, look up direction or something computer can do it for you and you don’t have to do anything just sit and watch. Technology really benefits my life a lot helping me all way, transportation and other info’s. Technology in pop culture bridging gap of rich and poors. These days between high-tech and pop culture. I can speak best about it in terms of music, where I've seen the tools of major recording studios filter down into the hands of anybody who can afford it, including such technology as digital recording, musical loops.
